About Us

Elizabeth Greenwell is the owner and director of Kinder Connection and pre-k/kindergarten teacher. She works alongside her husband James who is the assistant director and infant/toddler teacher. In addition, they employ two teacher’s assistants. Jamie and Ellie have been friends since High School and have been married for 12 years. They have raised children together, been foster parents together, worked as co-teachers together, and have served as long-term missionaries working side-by-side in Costa Rica. They opened Kinder Connection in 2023 to serve their community.

Elizabeth “Ms. Ellie” studied education for her Bachelor’s degree, has a Master’s in Community Counseling, and 33 credits toward a doctorate in Special Education. In 2022, she earned Science of Learning and Positive Discipline Certifications. She has worked in a variety of public and private school settings. In 2023, she completed an Infant and Toddler Certification. In 2024, she earned an Administrator Certification. She has been a teacher for 24 years and has published 4 children’s books. When she isn’t teaching or on the sidelines cheering on her children in sports, she loves writing, painting, photography, and being in nature.

James “Mr. Jamie” has a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science and has worked as a teacher’s assistant and support staff for adults with autism. In 2024-2025 he completed coursework toward a Child Development Associate. He has a calm quiet presence and readily enjoys providing behavioral supports to children with learning differences and working with our infants and toddlers. When he isn’t teaching, you will find Jamie cooking an exotic meal, reading a fantasy novel, or studying the bible.

Jamie, Ellie and their children have lived in Kent County, Maryland for the past 8 years. Their family has also lived in Delaware and Costa Rica. Jamie and Elizabeth love working together and both come from a background of meeting the needs of diverse learners. They look forward to welcoming your children as part of their extended family.
